5 Things You Should Do This Week

Are you ready to excel in 2018? We certainly are! But, before we say goodbye to 2017 for good, here are a few things you should do this week.
1. Review Your Goals
Make reflection and goal setting a lifestyle instead of an annual resolution that most people do not follow through. With only one month, three weeks, and three days left in 2017, the time is now to start reflecting on your year. Ask yourself
questions such as:
What did you achieve?
What did you hope to accomplish but did not?
How can I improve my routine to accomplish my goals?
Asking questions such as this ensures that you stay on track and progress towards your target.
2. Plan Action Steps
Reviewing your goals is only the first step. Not creating a plan of action to improve your systems will only lead to the same result. Albert Einstein stated, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Therefore, take what you learned from your reflections and experiment. Create a plan and implement it. Planning creates a roadmap for your goals and enables you to track how far you have progressed.
3. Learn Something New
Today, we have a wealth of information right at our fingertips. Learning something new should be a regular part of your life. Some of our favorite tools are books, YouTube videos, podcasts, and blogs. Even if you take 10 minutes to learn new tricks and strategies, you can advance your business and personal goals. 4. Make A Connection
When you first hear the term “networking” what comes to mind? You probably picture a room full of individuals with business cards in hand asking the age-old question “So, what do you do?” Well, instead of networking we encourage you to make a connection with someone new. Making a connection with someone goes beyond just networking in that you are building a relationship instead of conducting a transaction. This week your homework is to reach out to someone you admire or someone you have always wanted to contact. Do not ask them for anything in return, just state how much you enjoy their work and how they have impacted you. You never know what may come about from this encounter.
5. Relax
As entrepreneurs and professionals, we can quickly become overwhelmed and drained. However, we must realize that relaxing is just as important as being productive. This week, we encourage you to do something that has nothing to do with your business. It can be as simple as lighting candles to meditate or going out with friends. Allow yourself time to recuperate which will enhance your productivity. Remember, a car cannot run on an empty tank.
